3) I have a NCRS Topflight restored 1968 L79 matching numbers Corvette coupe. It has PB, PS, PW, leather interior, and air. This Corvette has been inspected by a guy known as the Corvette Doctor. I recently had a mechanic go through and get all the numbers off the car. Car is beautiful and drives like a dream, for a Corvette! L79 is the 350 hp 327 ci engine. I guestimated the mileage as the car is parked under cover in my daughter's garage. Here are the numbers: Block casting 3914678 date F288 VO703 HP Left head 8917291 F298 , Right head 8917291 F278 RH manifold 3872778 F11, LH manifold 3872765 E230 Intake 3919803 E18 Carb Rochester 7028219 Alternator 1100750, Wiper 5044683, A/C compressor 5910645 Rear end 2AN6 28 W, 3:55 Posi Trans P8H21F with matching vin# also There has been some discussion about the HP engine code being correct for the L79. It seems there is conflicting info out there. If you dig deep enough the HP block was used in the L79 cars as well, According to the NCRS. Also check out the Corvette Forum. This car was restored by Frank "Chip" Werstein in CA. It comes with NCRS Topflight Certificate awarded in Burbank, CA in 1999. It scored a 96.1. $31,000. 71,000 miles.
